Rhode Island driving log rules
Rhode Island has no required log form. Any log works, and a parent certifies the hours.
In the state's own words
“a person under the age of eighteen (18) years seeking to obtain a provisional license shall present with his or her application a statement signed by the person’s parent or guardian stating that the applicant has obtained a minimum of fifty (50) hours of experience with ten (10) of those at night as a driver while driving with a supervising driver.”
“These fifty (50) hours may include driving lessons with a commercial driving school or any other supervised driving.”
Checked on the state's own website on October 18, 2026. Rules change, so confirm with your DMV before your appointment.
